Alan, Denny, and Bethany agree to represent Judge Clark Brown as he sues a company for failing to cure him S.S.A.D.. Denise finds out she is pregnant. Shirley helps Clifford Cabot stop his niece from taking a forgetting pill after she is the victim of a sexual assault.

Alan is trying two case at once. The first involves a woman accused of stealing her deceased father from a science museum where he is displayed as an example of how not to live life. The second involves a doctor fired from his job after he claims seeing a U.F.O. and discussing this with patients. Things are further complicated as opposing counsel for this case is Jerry Espenson. Bethany decides to take Denny to temple so he can learn about Judaism.
