Alan defends a woman accused of killing her fiance the day of her wedding. Claire takes a pro bono case of defending a man accused of stealing a cell phone.
Alan is trying two case at once. The first involves a woman accused of stealing her deceased father from a science museum where he is displayed as an example of how not to live life. The second involves a doctor fired from his job after he claims seeing a U.F.O. and discussing this with patients. Things are further complicated as opposing counsel for this case is Jerry Espenson. Bethany decides to take Denny to temple so he can learn about Judaism.
Denny's first case comes back to roost when the son of a woman who was murdered in 1957 demands Denny and members of the firm re-try the case of the man accused of the crime who was found not guilty at the time. Alan is held in contempt of court while defending his neighbor who happens to also be a hooker.
