Following another death Danny finds his allies deserting him but decides to go public with Alex's research. After an unwelcome visit from his parents who say they are being used to ensnare him he calls on Frances, who surprises him with a revelation about her family, her own life as a spy and her influence on her son. This in turn leads Danny to identify his lover's killer.
