When a self-destructive, controversial radio deejay is found dead of asphyxiation, Detectives Goren and Eames believe it's a suicide -- but after learning that the dead man was issued placebos instead of his anti-depressant medications, they suspect that an obsessive female fan may be to blame. Their investigation broadens when another related victim is murdered but the key to an arrest hinges on both how and why the passive-aggressive slayer chose to act.

A shy, lonely man becomes the focus of a police investigation when a stripper is found murdered -- with part of her calf missing -- and Detectives Goren and Eames zero in when another woman escapes his clutches, leading them to believe the suspect wants a "mindless" female to keep him company.
