Jean takes Peanut, the oldest of her 13 cats, to Peter's surgery for a check-up and rewards the ageing moggie with a luxury cat tree. Away from the farm, daughter Sarah dons her L plates and takes her parents out in the car for the very first time. The Greens also have the experience of a lifetime when vet Matt Smith treats them to a day at a nearby wildlife park.

It's Christmas with the Greens, and this year is extra special because it's Steve's 80th Christmas on the family farm. Although he's not as mobile as he used to be, Peter is determined to make sure it's their best Christmas ever by doing all he can to assist with preparations. He helps with tree choosing, decorating and shopping, although he hands over cooking with Jean duties to his wife Lin! Peter even helps Steve and Jean make their own crackers and create a very special festive card (using a green screen, of course) as these three old friends reminisce about Christmases past, enjoy the present and look to the future.
