Gemma attends birthing classes led by a very eccentric antenatal teacher. Realising she needs more support, she seeks advice from her aunt Jess, Malcolm's sister. Malcolm and Gemma are invited to Jess and her domineering husband Tyrone's new house for a party. Malcolm is scared of Tyrone, who intimidates him with his new hot tub.

Malcolm and Derek throw Gemma a baby shower. Derek surprises Malcolm with an escape room for his birthday, where they are kidnapped off the street. Xander discovers Gemma in labour. Unable to reach Malcolm, and with no one else available to be her birthing partner, Xander steps in. Malcolm and Derek struggle to escape the extremely complicated escape room.
