With just one week before Halloween, Matt decides to throw an impromptu Harvest Party to promote his pumpkin business. But when Matt tries to enlist the Roloff kids' support for the idea, Zach storms off, annoyed by Matt's haphazard, last-minute planning.

After a quick Christmas celebration, the family departs for Oakland, California, for Zach's leg surgery. Matt, who went through countless surgeries himself, tries to reassure an increasingly anxious Zach.
