Dex and Kayla have a new dino experiment to solve, DD1013: "Do different dino predators work together to catch prey?" While Dex and Kayla hunt down the answer, Dex's mom and dad realize they better team up to get a reluctant Dex to clean his room.

When Dex is sick, Kayla makes him a Dino Boy and Rock Girl comic book and together they tell the animated story of what would happen if their superhero alter egos saved the dinosaurs from being wiped out but it's not easy for humans to coexist with prehistoric creatures.
