In 2003, life in Moscow was in full swing: the Star Factory, nightclubs, even McDonald's. Only Ksyusha's life is going downhill — they didn't accept her to university, her money was stolen, her home was lost, and she had a little son in her arms. But it is at this difficult moment that she meets two friends — the cheeky Masha and the quiet Olya. Each of them is also going through difficult times, and the girls decide to stick together. A new life begins: job search, attempts to get settled in the capital and the first steps towards a dream. But there are more challenges ahead. Ksyusha is helped by friendship and love, because she meets the charming Vlad.

Ksyusha is worried that Vlad hasn't called for a week. Olya tries to cheer up her friend, suggesting that something could have happened to him. The professor leaves Olya in the office so that she can cover for his wife on the phone, but Boris Alekseevich's wife comes to work for him.
