In this penultimate challenge, the four remaining chefs fight to secure their place amongst the final three, and the chance to take the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to one of the world's most legendary Michelin-starred restaurants. The judges begin by setting the four finalists a simple brief in the MasterChef kitchen - creating a single exceptional and evocative dish which draws inspiration from a place that is special to them. The remaining three finalists then travel to Valence, in France to learn from Anne Sophie Pic and her elite team.

In this one-off special, the Professional MasterChef judges catch up with five former finalists whose careers have been transformed by the competition, and all five finalists return to the MasterChef kitchen to show the judges how much their food has evolved. There is extraordinary food and a determined air of competitiveness as they battle once again to prove to the judges that they are best chef in the kitchen.
