Young and bright Dr. Prabhat leaves his father's well-established city hospital to take up a challenging post at a neglected rural Primary Health Centre. But he quickly realizes that leave alone treating patients, his first obstacle would be to get to the PHC the way to which has been turned into farmland.

Having treated no patients in two weeks, Prabhat's troubles mount when he receives vaccines on Nurse Didi's behalf, hands it over to her son, Sudhir, as she had wanted but Sudhir refuses blatantly that he took it.
