A Sunset Strip mobster offers Cleary a job which, if he refuses to accept, will mean the death of Cleary's war buddy---a roller-skating star in debt to the mob.

Cleary looks for the stolen master of a rockabilly star's latest album, and gets Johnny involved with a wispy blonde as he plays bodyguard to the brooding star.
