An ambitious entrepreneur and a right-wing politician form an unlikely partnership; Smilla grows closer to her neighbour, who was responsible for taking Isaiah to his regular hospital visits, and who also wants to uncover the truth. 

Framed for a crime, Smilla goes on the run with help but soon faces betrayal and lost secrets; a shadowy leader takes charge, setting the stage for a dangerous mission.
