The boss tells Ji-an she must take responsibility for the audit issue and leave the company. Feeling guilty for not being there when Hyo-ri needed her most, Ji-an promises that she will stay by Hyo-ri's side and protect her from now on. On her way to see Hyo-ri, Ji-an unexpectedly runs into an old crush from years ago.

Hyo-ri shares with Seon-yeong her worries about how to break the news of her illness to Suk. Seon-yeong comforts her, saying that since it's Suk, she will understand Hyo-ri's feelings without saying a word.
