The death of famous comedian Max Baker leads to a momentous meeting between his son Michael and his old comedy partner Count Arthur Strong. Arthur makes an impact at the memorial service after treating Michael to a performance of his world famous Memory Man act.

Much to everyone's surprise, including his own, Arthur gets a part in a radio play. Meanwhile Michael finds house sitting for Arthur is a dangerous thing to do.
