When the Powell's old babysitter comes to visit, Charles begins to feel unneeded when the children are more attentive toward her. His fears are worsened after he loses a pearl necklace that Mr. Powell entrusted him to hide.

Charles uses a digital electronic organizer to help plan out his schedule. However, he finds out that it cannot come close to solving all of the Powell's problems.
