After Spacely is guilted into taking a thirty year long overdue vacation with his wife, he is forced to find a substitute to run his plant, with George fulfilling the requirements necessary. With Spacely out the way, Mr. Cogswell sees this as the perfect opportunity to ruin the company.

Mysterious production delays at Spacely's Ore Orbiting Asteroid, forces Spacely no choice but to put George in charge, who has to figure out who or what is disrupting his plant. The rest of the family also adapt to their new home and make new friends.
