A soldier from a future Earth is blasted back through time to the present day and must learn how his new world works. Meanwhile, his opposite number also travels back in time.

After making special pairs of glasses out of meteorite material, an optical scientist sees a two-dimensional energy being that has become trapped in the third dimension. He then tries to help the creature to get home.
