One coincidence after another leads to Canaan and Kugai-kun being pressed close together in the classroom's cleaning locker.
The mood becomes romantic and they almost kiss, but in the end, it ends in a near miss.
The next day, Kugai-kun suddenly takes Canaan to the beach.
Skipping school, they are alone together in the open sea. It's a perfect, youthful situation.

Canaan returns to her family home in the demon world with Kugiya-kun and Jeanne, who tagged along uninvited.
Her father, Beelzebub, and mother, Lilim, mistakenly believe Jeanne is Canaan's girlfriend.

To clear up the misunderstanding, Canaan reintroduces Kugiya-kun as her boyfriend, but to demons, humans are nothing more than food.
