British sculptor Phyllida Barlow has been making art since the '60s but has only found public recognition in the last few years. Barlow, 73, is getting ready for the biggest show of her career after she was commissioned by the British Council to represent the UK at the Venice Biennale.

Nicholas Hlobo is a South African artist, best known for his sculptures and installations using materials that have become iconic to his work. Hlobo is considered one of South Africa's brightest post-apartheid stars and his studio is in a former synagogue in his home city of Johannesburg.
