Miranda confesses to Juan Pablo that Mauricio is the father of her child, and he asks her to keep it a secret. Miranda becomes very unwell, Juan Pablo takes her to the doctor, and he pretends to be her husband.

Juan Pablo bribes attorney Cortés to force Miranda to be with him. Miranda tells him that she is expecting Mauricio's child. Juan Pablo makes Mauricio believe that he is having a romantic relationship with Miranda.
