The five families travel to Mesa, Ariz., where one team member must take the controls of a fighter plane and complete a 360-degree loop in the air. Next, the teams drive to the Grand Canyon and then to the Glen Canyon Dam, where they must choose between bailing water out of a submerged boat or using a compass to find three clues on a river. The teams then race to the pit stop located aboard a houseboat on Lake Powell.

During this milestone episode, "How's That Face Feel?," one family member amuses the rest of the family with a face plant into the water after plunging down a 60 ft. ramp.
