Theo Kamp is Tilburg's best but also its most hotheaded homicide detective. When he steps out of line yet again during the investigation into top criminal Freddy van Nuenen, he is taken off the case and demoted to the marijuana squad as punishment. Here, he's supposed to keep a low profile for the time being under the supervision of his new partner, Willem Niessen, the most by-the-book detective in the force. Theo has no intention of giving up his investigation, but will he manage from this disadvantaged position, with Willem as his watchdog to finally catch Freddy van Nuenen and get his old job back?

Witness Hans is found dead near the hospital, while his wife Donna is inside giving birth to their daughter. Can Theo and Willem provide the newly widowed woman with enough protection now that her life is in danger?
