Cattle ranchers are trying to get rid of the townsfolk when Judge Oren Travis comes to town to bring a little law to the area. After bringing in a man wanted for murder, the Judge offers Chris and the others a chance to protect the town full time.

Mary paroles a young woman, Terry Greer, and her daughter from prison. Terry's second chance, however is hindered by an ex-lawman turned bank robber who kidnaps Terry's daughter to force her to help rob the town's bank.
