Suzy Darling finally leaves her husband and moves into a new apartment. During her first day she encounters a man who seems totally disconnected with the world. She discovers his name is Henry and no one but she can hear or see him.

Suzy continues to struggle with the antics of her ex-husband. At the same time she finds herself strangely attracted to Henry, as he begins to open her world to different situations and sensations.
