The celebrity chefs are first challenged to serve up restaurant-quality dishes inspired by the flavours of south India and Sri Lanka, and then have to recreate their own dinner party favourites.
Antony Costa, Gaz Choudhry MBE, Ginger Johnson, Katie McGlynn and Uma Jammeh don their aprons and take on the challenge of out-cooking each other in the MasterChef kitchen.
The remaining celebrities in the first week of the competition must work in pairs to progress to the semi-finals, but only one member of each duo knows the recipe.
