An oversized load tests Jamie and his rebuilt wrecker HR-126; a gravel hauler ricochets off a rock wall leaving a twisted mess for Kelly and John; swamper Gord Lundin gets a chance to operate his own tow truck.
A truck driver survives a crash on The Coq during a snowstorm; hampered by heavy snow, rocks and extreme cold, Colin and Kelly finish the tough recovery and meet a tight deadline.
Jamie and his fleet of heavy wreckers are paralyzed in his own yard by a massive snowfall; a tow-up in deep powder turns into big trouble for Colin; Al and Gord rescue a teetering semi during the morning rush on Hwy 1.
Before the beginning of the winter season, Jamie Davis thought he had seen it all in Hope, B.C. Working one of the harshest mountain highways in North America, Davis' heavy rescue team usually knows what to anticipate – but this time, record-breaking snowfall, ice, wind, and bitter cold make Mother Nature their greatest enemy. After closing his operation in Alberta last year, Davis is still focused on improving his towing business in Hope, and that means getting the most out of his team and his trucks. And this winter, Davis is counting on one man more than anyone – Colin McLean. After saying goodbye to the elite team last season, McLean makes a surprise return to the company.
Davis is counting on family more than ever in Season 6. His son, James Jr., and his stepson Brandon become more involved with the family business, while Davis' brother Kelly continues to help out in Hope, B.C. Often a thorn in Davis' side, Kelly still proves he's worth keeping around as a heavy rescue operator. Equally handy with a welding torch as he is helping out on a wreck, Davis' cousin Paris joins the crew as the newest addition to the business.
