Stephen Mangan is back with a brand-new series of Landscape Artist of the Year, on the hunt for Britain's best landscape artist. In this first heat, he's off to Hampton Court, where eight artists are lined up in front of the palace's baroque east front. The winner of this heat will go through to the semi-final and be one step closer to claiming the prize; a £10,000 commission for the Courtauld Gallery, to create a landscape of the South of France inspired by painters Monet, Cezanne and Van Gogh. Joining our main competitors will be a host of artists trying their luck as Wildcards, hoping to catch the eye of judges Kathleen Soriano, Kate Bryan and Tai Shan Schierenberg. If successful, one lucky wildcard winner will stand the chance of a place in the semi final. So, with only four hours to create a masterpiece, who has what it takes to become Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year?
