Teenager Colette lived in the sleepy village of Keyworth with her parents. On an October night in 1983 she left home to walk the the short distance to her boyfriend's house, but never arrived. The next day Colette's body was found by police officers in a muddy field a mile and a half away. The killer remained undetected for 26 years until new techniques produced a DNA profile that finally lead to a conviction.
