Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team are in Gosport to help Cathy Walton, whose partner died in a freak accident having just started work on their new home. Cathy, partial to a touch of glamour, is now bringing up her young family in the middle of a half-completed loungeroom.

Can designer Julia Kendell help the team create a living space which is family friendly without skimping on the sparkle?

Nick Knowles and the team are in Romford to sort out the Morris family's DIY disaster. They have been trying to convert the loft of their bungalow into a space suitable for Sharon's 17-year-old autistic son Perry, who doesn't have a bedroom of his own.

It is down to the DIY SOS crew to create a place for Perry that will help him live as independently as possible, whilst still keeping him in the family home where he feels safe.

Designer Julia Kendell and the team need to turn an attic into a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
