In two and half days, a piece of hospital wasteland was transformed into a specialised playground to cater for the needs of sick children at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. The challenge was issued by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on behalf of the National Playing Fields Association.

In 73 hours, 10,000 copies of the 1992 Childline Calendar "Children at Play" were printed using photos chosen from thousands received in response to a public appeal.
