Lovejoy and Lady Jane fall out over a royal dinner service belonging to a Belgian countess. Meanwhile, Gimbert is out for revenge.

After revealing his talent for spotting a bargain on TV, Lovejoy discovers that perhaps he isn't as good as he thought. His attempts at conning a young couple backfire and he finds that making amends is much harder, and more expensive, than it appears.
