A five-part television version of the 2011 television film of the same name.
The series tells the dramatic story of a Tambov peasant woman during the Revolution and Civil War. Through the prism of her life, the fate of the Russian village, drawn into the peasant uprising led by Alexander Antonov, which broke out in the Tambov province and went down in history as the "Antonovshchina", is shown, as well as the fate of the entire country and the bloody pages of its history.
Based on the novel of the same name by Yulian Simonov (author of Stierlitz from "Seventeen Moments of Spring"). A dismembered body is found in the forest in 1979 Magadan, eastern Soviet Russia. The way the body was cut and hidden seems similar to a similar event that happened years ago near the end of WW2-Europe.
