This episode takes a behind-the-scenes look at the biggest all-star competition
With budgets dwindling and pressure mounting, everyone sprints to finish their houses. After six weeks, a winner will be named and bragging rights claimed. Plus, the teams get to see each other's homes for the first time as previous Rock the Block champions Jasmine Roth, Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson judge their work.
Time to head outside into the Rocky Mountain cold as teams design their exterior spaces during a snowy week on the block; Ty encourages everyone to get sporty.
With the first floor complete, the teams head downstairs to tackle the biggest space ever seen on Rock the Block: the Lower Level, 1500 square feet of blank canvas to create some of the most outrageous spaces ever seen. HGTV's Alison Victoria and Veronica Valencia wade through the luxurious fun to choose a winner.
The competition turns up as the teams renovate their main suite; elevated designs rule the day as Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis come to blind judge and determine if any team left things too basic.
The teams create stunning living rooms and entryways for their homes; fireplaces and Rocky Mountain views seem like a sure thing until Mina Starsiak-Hawk and Jenn Todryk tour everyone's work and pick a winner.
Four teams of HGTV stars design breathtaking kitchens as the ultimate renovation competition begins; after a hot-air balloon ride over the mountains offers inspiration, "Fixer to Fabulous'" Dave and Jenny Marrs judge the jaw-dropping finished spaces.
The fresh seven episodes will raise the stakes like never before when two seasoned veteran teams come back to the block to challenge two rookie teams hungry for a win. Popular carpenter, craftsman, design expert and series' host Ty Pennington (Battle on the Beach) will charge the HGTV powerhouse duos to face-off in an epic renovation battle just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. Each team will have just six weeks and a budget of $250,000 to renovate identical modern properties that boast breathtaking mountain views, soaring interior spaces and the largest backyards in series' history, transforming them with their signature vision and personalized design style. The team who clinches the highest appraised value for their home will claim coveted Rock the Block bragging rights and a street named in their honor.
