The Schroeders also get a visit from a family of llamas, one of which is expecting, and the whole clan ventures into a massive thunderstorm to aid a downed dairy cow.

Early spring in Nebraska brings new life and unpredictable veterinary challenges for Drs. The vets assist a cow in labor that's too weak to stand; chickens with mysterious leg ailments; and a litter of piglets with the squirts. The doctors also put on their podiatrist hats while tending to a pet goat and donkey and investigate a puppy's surprising ear issue.
