The cad plans to turn double-agent. But he is terminated with extreme prejudice at a zoo where U.S. agents are waiting for him to meet "the other side." The doom is done with a four-pointed metal weapon, "the death star," a device Hunter recognizes as the trademark of a years-ago foe named "Bluebird," an ace Communist intelligence agent he hates.
James Hunter is an ex-con seeking the man who framed him, and Marty Shaw is the girl who knows where the man Hunter seeks may be found. Hunter is an ex-con framed into prison and now determined to settle the vendetta against his former employer, who victimized him. Freed from the state penitentiary after serving a long sentence for fraud and embezzlement, James Hunter is out to get David Ingersoll, his mysterious one-time employer.
