Herbert poses for some flashy new headshots to go in his portfolio, in the hope than one of them will land him an acting job, and he can begin paying for all the things he has been buying on the internet - and hopefully leave enough to pay the council tax bill. However, a bicycle ride and an overlong bath have unforeseen consequences.
Herbert gets an important job recording a voiceover, but Bobby is less than impressed by the discovery that he has spent all of their savings on glow-in-the-dark paint. The couple is also called in for an urgent parent-teacher meeting at their son's school, which leads Herbert to reminisce about some unpleasant childhood memories.
Herbert is given the opportunity of a lifetime when he is asked to record an audition tape for a role in a musical. He decides that the performance most likely to win him the role is a rendition of a 1980s computer struggling to load.
