In January 2006, Lorne Malvo passes through Bemidji, Minnesota and influences put-upon insurance salesman Lester Nygaard with his malice and violence. Season 2 takes place in 1979 and focus on a young Lou Solverson (Molly's dad), who was a retired state police officer played by Keith Carradine in Season 1. The police will investigate a case involving a local crime gang and a major mob syndicate.
