Ralf finds the group responsible for kidnapping the Germans; the American visits the general with critical information, but for a price.
In Alger, Toumi summons Ralf, and threatens him by handing him an echography of Amel, two months pregnant with his baby. Despite these threats, and Amel's appeal to caution, Ralf continues the inquiry into his countryman's disappearance.
General Soudani, Amel's uncle and head of the Algerian Secret Service, insists along with Toumi, his second in command, that the kidnapping is the work of Islamic terrorists.
