Paladin takes on a commission bringing a daughter back to a rancher after an outlaw convinces her to run away with him.

Paladin hears of a businessman who holds an annual desert chase, and buys a camel to compete. He soon learns that the businessman holds the town's water rights and charges exorbitant prices, and sets out to break the man.
