Sky confirms returning comedy Intelligence 2 will air from 8 June on Sky One and streaming service NOW with all episodes available.
At the end of the first series of Intelligence, we saw NSA agent Jerry Bernstein (David Schwimmer) narrowly avoid being extradited back to the States to face charges of treason. Indebted to his boss Christine (Sylvestra Le Touzel) for stepping in to protect him at the last minute - albeit with ulterior motives - we start series 2 with Jerry on the back foot. However when it's revealed that the Russians have got their hands on a cyberweapon that Jerry was instrumental in developing, his intel suddenly becomes vital to national, if not international, security. Facing some demons from his past along the way, by the end of episode 1 he is firmly back in his alpha male comfort zone and heralded a hero.
Meanwhile Joseph (Nick Mohammed) has romance on the cards since sparking up an online friendship with Charlotte from the GCHQ offices in Bude. Romance blossoms and not even Jerry's meddling nor Christine's ban on cross-departmental relationships can get in the way.
As the series progresses, however, it soon becomes clear that while the initial cyber attack has been thwarted, the Russians are able to mutate the cyberweapon and Jerry's personal security comes under serious threat…
The latest threat to the gang at GCHQ is personal and with the future of CySec at stake, the members of the team have to go rogue to save their reputations and their jobs.
Jerry is flying high and hailed a hero by GCHQ and the NSA and facing opportunities for promotion on both sides of the pond. Joseph, meanwhile, is dealing with the harsh reality of no longer being part of the team, having been fired by Christine for gross incompetence.
Christine informs Jerry that the Russians who are holding Mary's mum hostage are demanding him in exchange for releasing her.
It's Harassment and Discrimination training day at CySec but all is not what is seems with the course leader, Hilary Bowen. It seems that alpha Jerry, who's used to getting away with behaving how he wants with little consequence, may have met his match?
A rival GCHQ team have unearthed important information about Eternal Blue, the cyber weapon which the Russians have got their hands on. But to Jerry's frustration, they won't share the intel, which he needs to thwart the attack and more importantly further his own career and secure his path back to the NSA. So when he finds out that Joseph has a date with Charlotte, a colleague from the rival team at GCHQ Bude, he seizes the opportunity.
Jerry is hailed as the hero as disaster is averted at the nuclear power plant - but threats still loom large. Meanwhile, the CySec mole is exposed.
Jerry and Joseph are tasked with saving a nuclear power plant under cyber attack.
