Adrian Edmondson is in the heart of England as he visits the East Midlands searching for unique British foods and heritage crafts and traditions. He steps onto the factory floor to learn about Northampton's shoe making past, meets a couple who produce a local colourful cheese, and cooks up a well known local soup for some falconers on Bosworth's famous battlefields.

In today's programme, actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson makes his way to beautiful Cumbria, to explore the regions unique foods and much-loved British traditions. He learns about every hiker's favourite treat, Kendal Mint Cake, tries his luck fishing the traditional Viking way, enjoys a taste of the Caribbean when he learns about the history of rum in the region, and bakes up a spicy cake for some local cloggers.
