However, Jack hits a speedbump when Wray Nerely refuses to climb back into the Spectrum cockpit, fearing he'll never break out of his pigeonhole as a character actor. Jack offers to get Wray an audition for this fall's hottest new show: Doctor Cop Lawyer.

Wray turns to Jerry for help to get into the part of the humpbacked, lispy, squinting sidekick in Doctor-Cop-Lawyer.
