Moryc Szapiro, Jakub's brother, gets beaten at the University of Warsaw. Jakub wants to take revenge on his attackers, but Moryc forbids him to do so. The police find the body of Mosze's father. Newspapers attribute the murder to the Kum's gang. Radziwiłek finds the author of an anti-Semitic letter printed in one of the newspapers. Adam Koc establishes cooperation with Żwirski.
Jakub is getting ready to fight with Andrzej Ziembiński. Mosze lives with the Szapiro family. A member of the Kaplica's gang, Janusz Radziwiłek, discovers a conspiracy at the highest levels of state power.
1937. In Warsaw, a Jewish gang is ruled by the Polish socialist Kum Kaplica. Boxer Jakub Szapiro secretly dreams of replacing Kum and becoming "The King of Warsaw".
