After his coming out to his conservative father goes horribly wrong, Singaporean Sam jets off to Bangkok in search of his exiled gay uncle for guidance, who was similarly disowned for being gay many years ago.
During his search for his uncle, Sam meets Top, a hopeless Thai romantic who has been unlucky in love.
Together, they search for Sam's uncle, but they end up finding something much more.
Sam finds support in his uncle. Top asks Sam to be his boyfriend.
Sam and Top attend Zymone's party where they run into Top's ex-boyfriend, Dr. Big.
"Tour Guide Top" shows Sam around Bangkok while Sam looks for his uncle.
Sam seeks out his uncle at the hotel he is staying at. Top takes Sam on a dinner date to thank him for giving him a pair of clothes in his time of need.
