Mitya and Katya are stuck in the past, just before the Battle of Borodino. But it looks like there won't be a battle, because the hussar didn't get the secret documents to Kutuzov in time. And if there is no Borodino, history will change and the Zhuravlevs will have nowhere to go back to....

Mitya finally fixes the time machine, and the hussar goes home. And Katya and Mitya split up. But soon strange events begin to happen, which unite the Cranes again.
