There is a chance to see what happened in the men's and women's triathlon, where the Brownlee brothers are looking to repeat their medal-winning exploits of both Glasgow 2014 and the Rio Olympics.

There is also the start of the swimming competition, where Scotland's Hannah Miley has her sights trained on a third consecutive 400m Individual Medley gold. And it is fast and furious at the velodrome, where the first track cycling medals are decided.

There is a chance to see the best moments from the day's spectacular, which marks the beginning of 11 days ofworld-class sporting action. The ceremony includes the traditional Parade of Nations and the finale to the Queen's Baton Relay, which has travelled 150,000 miles around every nation and territory in the Commonwealth.
