It quickly becomes clear that the director was murdered and that his lifestyle was less respectable than he claimed. A thorough investigation reveals that the director was not particularly careful with finances. Hein Berg focuses on Frits Nekke's criminal twin brother.

While Stan and Dries are hunting Egbert Nekke, Esther and Noucha are confronted with an old case of Esther's. The case of a young mother brutally raped and abused in her own home by her ex-boyfriend is coming to court. But the old statements from the young mother and her ex-boyfriend don't seem to add up. It's up to Esther and Noucha to find out what really happened before the trial ends. While Stan and Dries haven't gotten any closer to Egbert, Hein receives a visit from Frits Nekke that evening.
