A current controller for Newark's airspace tells NBC News' Tom Costello that last week's loss of communications with planes has happened two other times since August. Tonight, President Trump said, ‘never say never' regarding Canada becoming the 51st state, as Canada's new prime minister vowed the country is ‘not for sale.' President Trump also announced that Iran-backed Houthi rebels said that they will stop attacking U.S. ships in the Mideast. Tensions are rising in Kashmir after India launched strikes at Pakistan-controlled portions of the contested territory. Pakistan claims to have shot down two Indian planes. It follows the killing of dozens of Indians in an Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir; they blame on militants backed by Pakistan. Pakistan denies any role. NBC News' Keir Simmons reports on the new wave of violence tonight.  NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports. Four women who say they worked for Robinson as housekeepers allege the music legend sexually assaulted them dozens of times over a period of years. Robinson has not replied to request for comment. NBC News' Kate Snow reports. The Vatican released new images showing the inside of the Sistine Chapel, ready for 133 cardinal electors to gather for the highly secret meeting to choose a new pope. In Louisville, a truck driver dangled from a highway after a crash. First responders raced to the scene rescuing him from the terrifying incident. The Louisville Fire Department chief says he's witnessed this kind of operation once before. NBC News' Emilie Ikeda has more. Police have arrested 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle on suspicion of felony vandalism after authorities say he rammed his car into the gate of Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air Mansion while the "Friends" actress was home. Troubling details are now emerging from what appear to be the suspect's Facebook posts referencing Aniston over the past year. NBC News' Liz Kreutz reports.

As a senior official in the first Trump administration, Miles Taylor wrote an anonymous op-ed criticizing the president. He later quit and campaigned against the president. Now, President Trump has signed a presidential memo accusing Taylor of leaking classified information and ordering a review of his work. In an exclusive interview with NBC News' Laura Jarrett, Taylor said, "people need to know how real it is to be blacklisted by the president." President Trump said his administration will offer one thousand dollars and travel assistance to undocumented migrants to ‘self deport', which he says will cut costs related to detaining and deporting them. Meanwhile, he also suggested re-opening Alcatraz prison to hold violent criminals. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports. A Temple University student was suspended after a video posted to social media showed a waitress carrying a sign with an anti-Jewish message at a Barstool Sports bar in Philadelphia. Founder Dave Portnoy says both waitresses who served the group were fired. NBC's Sam Brock reports. No jurors were selected on the first day of music mogul Sean ‘Diddy' Combs's federal criminal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs has pleaded not guilty and denied all the charges against him. Combs told the judge presiding he was feeling "a little nervous". Celebrities including Michael B. Jordan, Mike Myers, and Kanye West were listed as possible names that could come up during the course of the trial, though they were not accused of wrongdoing.
