The two men dont really know each other anymore, a fact brought home by Neds awkwardness around his father. When Lauren spies a distinctive tattoo on Neds chest, she becomes cautious of him.

When Steph presents to Paul the incriminating evidence that she found inside his briefcase, Paul realises that someone is trying to frame him for the Lassiters explosion. Desperate, he enlists Nenes help, asking her to corroborate on a false alibi with him. Despite Nenes reservations, her soft spot for Paul gets the better of her and she plays along with the lie.
